Job summary

AFL Telecommunications, LLC is seeking a Fiber Installation Technician to be responsible for installation and customer experience of Broadband services. This role entails working both inside and outside the home, connecting fiber optic jumpers, and educating customers on services.

The ideal candidate must have a valid driver’s license, be able to lift heavy loads, and work flexible hours. The company provides benefits including a vehicle, gas, and cell phone.

Qualifications

• Valid state driver's license and non-negligent driving record.
• Ability to lift and move up to 100 lbs.
• Must work flexible hours and be on call.

Responsibilities

• Install new Broadband integrated digital TV, high-speed Internet and voice services.
• Connect fiber optic jumpers and drops.
• Educate customers on Internet access and video products.

Skills

Knowledge of computer operating systems

Experience cabling electronic components

Experience with CAT 5 and COAX wiring

Customer service skills

Basic electricity knowledge

Working knowledge of hand and power tools
