Job summary

Conxxus in Marseilles, IL is seeking an entry-level Telecom Installer to join our field crew. You will install twisted pair copper and fiber, provision and monitor Internet, IPTV and VOIP services for residential and business customers, and travel to service sites in company vehicles.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license with a good record, and willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Twisted pair copper (adsl and vdsl) and fiber installations

• Travel in company vehicles for service calls/on site projects
• Work with coax/fiber tools and equipment
• Communicate procedures, policies, and other information to customers
• Work with support to resolve customer issues

Experience/Skills/Requirements

• Entry Level
• High school diploma/GED required
• Willing to work flexible hours including weekends, evenings, holidays, and overtime
• Valid driver's license; good driving record
• Knowledge of mechanical and consumer devices
• Willing to work in varying heights, close spaces, and weather conditions

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge/experience on processes leading up to actual installation process to turn up customers media services.
• Basic understanding of IT concepts and fundamentals/experience preferred
• Knowledge/experience with installation equipment
• Knowledge/experience with drop plow and/or trencher
• Broadband technician: 1 year (Preferred)
• Voice, data, coax: 1 year (Preferred)

Schedule

• Full-time position, 40 hours per week with overtime opportunities
• Shifts range from Monday - Saturday between the hours of 8:00 AM - 7:00 PM
