• Willing to travel and work extended hours, including overtime.

Job description

Prince Telecom is currently hiring full-time Fiber Optic Field Technicians in the Charlotte, NC area!

We provide paid training, full benefits, and a company vehicle!

Pay: $16 - $22/hr+

Job Type: Full-Time

What you'll do...

1. Install, disconnect, reconnect, add, change, troubleshoot, and repair fiber optic systems.
2. Use small hand tools, power tools, and test equipment.
3. Install, set up, and configure residential networking equipment such as ONT's, routers, and switches.
4. Perform testing on company-issued devices and customer devices.
5. Identify and remedy sources of customer-perceived issues.
6. Complete paperwork accurately and report/record work order status updates.
7. Perform customer service duties, including:
   1. Greeting and interacting with customers professionally and courteously, including responding to escalations and repeated customer concerns;
   2. Reviewing requested services with customers to ensure understanding and agreement;
   3. Educating customers about product and service usage.

Who we are looking for...

• Minimum 18 years old
• Valid U.S. driver's license (required)
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
• Reside within 60 miles of Charlotte, NC
• High school diploma or GED
• Comfortable working in tight spaces and in inclement weather
• Able to work in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment
• Effective communication skills
• Willing to travel and work extended hours, including overtime and weekends
• Capable of lifting, climbing, and carrying ladders weighing up to 80 lbs.
