Job summary

Direct Communications seeks a Construction Supervisor to lead our fiber broadband crews across Tri-Parish and Central Louisiana. The role demands on-site leadership, a proactive “whatever it takes” mindset, and hands-on expertise to manage underground utility projects to completion.

You will oversee teams, ensure safety, drive productivity, and uphold rigorous quality standards while coordinating resources and schedules in a rural service footprint.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in heavy equipment operation, underground utility work, and broadband construction (drilling, plowing, and fiber installation).
• Proven ability to manage teams, high-value resources, and projects within tight timelines.
• Strong mastery of fiber optic network maintenance, DLC systems, fiber hubs, and power installations.

Responsibilities

• Supervise construction crews, fostering safety and excellence on-site.
• Drive daily productivity for installation and repair of the fiber network following quality standards.
• Lead by example, troubleshoot site issues and maintain site cleanliness and traffic control.
• Accurately document materials, equipment, and progress in accordance with policies.
