Job summary

Astound is seeking a Construction Manager to lead fiber construction projects and coordinate with utilities, municipalities, engineers, developers, and sales teams to ensure on-time delivery. This role involves making-ready, right-of-way management, and tracking progress across multiple complex projects in a fast-paced environment.

Candidates should have 5 years of cable/telecom experience and 7–10 years of supervising a construction department, with strong leadership, safety focus, NEC

Qualifications

• 5 years Cable Television or Telecommunications technical experience.
• 7-10 years of supervising a cable TV/telecommunications construction department.
• Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record.
• Ability to manage multiple complex projects and meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of NEC and GO/95 and 128.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and evaluate construction personnel; coordinate construction through in-house and contract labor for new construction and rebuild projects both aerial and underground.
• Represent Wave with governmental, municipal, and related industry organizations.
• Coordinate with utility companies for all right-of-way work, including pole transfers and system maintenance.
• Coordinate with engineers and developers in designing the plant; plan installation locations and complete material orders.
• Monitor contractor performance; ensure compliance with agreements and local codes.
• Perform site inspections for quality control and safety.
• Coordinate permitting and make-ready processes.
• Ensure staff respond to quotes for sales teams to meet deadlines.
• Review damage claims and develop capital projects with staff.
• Other duties as assigned.
