Job summary

Verita Telecommunications is seeking a Construction Manager to lead fiber and telecommunications construction from planning through completion. You will oversee field crews, supervise supervisors, subcontractors, and ensure projects are on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.

The role demands hands-on leadership in underground fiber construction, strong problem solving, and collaboration with clients and leadership to deliver high-quality infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Experience in telecommunications construction industry standards.
• Strong understanding of underground fiber construction incl. directional drilling, conduit installation, and cable placement.
• Experience with fiber splicing, coax splicing, and telecom network construction practices.

Responsibilities

• Oversee field crews and multiple job sites.
• Manage construction projects from start to finish with timelines and budgets.
• Schedule crews and monitor progress against deadlines.
• Supervise subcontractors and ensure contractual compliance.
• Promote safe work practices and maintain safety culture.
• Review/interpret construction drawings, maps, and contracts.
• Assist in estimating, bidding, and change orders.
• Provide daily project updates to leadership.
