IdeaTek is launching a fiber construction operation in Tucson, Arizona, and seeks a Field Construction Supervisor to lead on-site activities, manage relationships with contractors, and ensure safe, efficient execution to our standards. This role focuses on field leadership, problem solving, and building local partnerships as the market is established.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in construction, utility construction, field supervision, or related roles in Tucson/Southern Arizona.
• Strong working knowledge of underground utility construction practices.
• Experience leading or coordinating construction crews, contractors, or field teams.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with contractors, municipalities, and internal teams.
• Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
• Preferred bilingual English/Spanish proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day field construction activities for fiber deployments, ensuring safety and project requirements.
• Serve as primary IdeaTek contact for construction contractors in the Tucson market, guiding progress and resolving field issues.
• Represent IdeaTek with the City of Tucson and local stakeholders, communicating needs and coordinating requirements.
• Monitor progress, schedules, materials, manpower, and site conditions; report status, risks, and delays to leadership.
• Coordinate with internal teams to provide information, materials, and resources for execution.
• Support planning and execution across scope, scheduling, procurement, and closeout.
• Document field activity and updates to maintain visibility into progress.
• Ensure contractors follow IdeaTek safety expectations and local requirements.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, contractor performance, and field execution.
