ByVerTek in Mesa, Arizona is seeking a Telecom Field Supervisor to oversee daily field operations for fiber optic construction. You will lead aerial, underground, and splicing crews, coordinate with project teams, and ensure work is performed safely, on schedule, and in accordance with design and client specs.

This role emphasizes safety culture, rigorous quality, and clear communication with management, customers, and permitting authorities.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of telecom/OSP FTTH construction with field leadership.
• Working knowledge of telecom construction practices and safety standards.
• Strong communication, organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced field environment.
• Proficiency with computers, tablets, and digital reporting tools.
• Valid Driver’s License with clean record.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily telecom construction activities for aerial, underground, and splicing crews.
• Oversee field personnel and subcontractors to ensure safe, productive work.
• Monitor progress and adjust field activities to meet schedules.
• Ensure crews have materials, equipment, and resources.
• Ensure work conforms to design, prints, and client specs.
• Promote teamwork and continuous improvement among field teams.
• Maintain safe work environment and ensure policy compliance.
• Foster strong safety culture.
• Conduct safety briefings and PPE checks.
• Identify hazards and support incident reporting and corrective actions.
• Act as field liaison between leadership, management, teams, subcontractors and clients.
• Represent the company during site walks and project meetings.
• Provide timely updates on status, risks, and field conditions.
• Ensure construction quality and inspections.
• Schedule and oversee inspections.
• Manage verification and true-up of quantities.
• Ensure compliance with all requirements.
• Identify issues early and implement preventive solutions.
• Use scheduling and management tools to track progress and maintain reports.
• Track permits, inspections, approvals throughout lifecycle.
• Support closeout documentation and reporting.
• Provide coordination and oversight to field personnel and subcontractors.
• Reinforce policies, safety expectations and performance standards.
• Support coaching, training, and performance feedback with management.
