MasTec Communications Group is seeking a Directional Drill Operator/Locator to support underground conduit and fiber optic installations. You will operate horizontal directional bore equipment, coordinate with the Drill Locator, and ensure safety for the public and existing utilities.

You will work on long-term projects, read maps and diagrams, and maintain hands-on collaboration with your team while transporting equipment to job sites.

Responsibilities

• Support directional drilling for underground conduit and fiber optic cable installation.
• Operate a horizontal directional bore with the Drill Locator to install coax and fiber systems.
• Ensure public safety and protection of other underground utilities.
• Read maps, locate utilities, and coordinate daylighting activities.
• Transport heavy equipment to and from the job site daily.
