Job summary

MasTec Communications Group is seeking a Directional Drill Operator/Locator to support underground conduit and fiber optic installations. You will work in a safety-minded environment and help expand technology for a better community.

You’ll locate drilling sites, operate bore equipment, and coordinate with crews to ensure accurate bore paths while maintaining safety and reliability on site. Competitive hourly compensation and robust benefits accompany this role.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of utility directional drilling experience in an urban environment.

Responsibilities

• Locate Horizontal Directional Driller for installation of underground conduit and fiber optic cable.
• Operate a horizontal directional bore with Drill Locator to install coax and fiber systems.
• Ensure safety of the public and other underground utilities.
• Read maps, drawings, and diagrams for the project build process.
• Transport heavy equipment to and from the job site daily.
