Job description

Position Summary

Overall duty is to coordinate and manage maintenance events within our client’s network to minimize disruption to the customer base and ensure timely restoration of affected services.

This is a 100% remote role, must be in the South Florida or Rochester, NY areas. Orientation & Training will be in-office for 2 weeks, Monday – Friday, 8am-5pm. Hours after training will be 10 PM to 8 AM (4 days a week), C-shift/Night Shift/ 4 days on 3 days off. The shift begins at 10 PM and ends at 8 AM, with at least one weekend day (Saturday or Sunday).

Job Responsibilities

1. Maintenance Coordination - Internal and Vendor Maintenance Management.
2. MOP Assessment.
3. Maintenance Event Approval.
4. Impact Analysis - Circuit Impact Research, Assessment, and Validation.
5. Conflict Assessment - Internal, External Maintenance & Network Outage Conflict Resolution.
6. Internal, Vendor, and Customer Scheduling & Coordination.
7. Research customer information to ensure proper notifications.
8. Proactive Customer Communication & Notifications.
9. CM Support Line - remote troubleshooting and logging maintenance progress.
10. Diagnose, troubleshoot, and clear alarms from NMS event logs due to Change Management activities.
11. Serve as the primary contact for all Change Management SA inquiries.
12. Various Record Validation Projects.

Qualifications

3-5 years of telecommunications experience, including hands-on knowledge in SONET, IP protocols, routing, Layer 2 switching, WDM, Dark Fiber services, and OTDR testing. Proficiency with MS Office, NMS alarm monitoring, and Circuit Inventory Systems (e.g., OSP Insight, Netcracker). Knowledge of NOC or Operations environments, Nortel 6500/5200, Lambda Unite, Infinera, BGP, IPv6, JUNOS is a plus. Strong judgment, decision-making, customer service, attention to detail, organizational skills, and team collaboration are essential.
