Job description

Pay Range - $30.00 to $34.00 Per Hour

Location: Doral, Fl or Rochester, NY - 100% Remote in local area

Job Knowledge/Experience:

1. Hands-on experience and working knowledge in the following areas: SONET, IP protocols and routing, Layer 2 switching, WDM, Dark Fiber services, and OTDR testing.
2. 3-5 years of telecommunications experience required.
3. Proficiency with standard MS Office products.
4. Experience with NMS alarm monitoring.
5. Working knowledge of Circuit Inventory Systems (e.g., OSP Insight, Netcracker), NOC or Operations experience, Nortel 6500/5200 Lambda Unite, Infinera equipment.
6. Good judgment, concentration, and decision-making skills.
7. Strong customer service skills with a commitment to customer care, acting as the customer’s advocate.
8. Extreme attention to detail.
9. Good organizational skills.
10. Ability to multitask.
11. Positive attitude.
12. Ability to work effectively within a cross-functional team.

Desired:

1. 2-4 years of related Service Provider experience.

Systems/Certifications:

1. CCNA, CCNP, ITIL, Network+ certifications preferred.
2. Experience with Cisco routers and switches, Cisco ONS, Client DMX, Juniper MX and EX series.
3. Experience with MRV equipment, BGP, IPv6, and JUNOS is a plus.
