Qualifications

• Must install, terminate & test low voltage and fiber optic cables
• Must follow written and verbal instructions
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand/power tools

Responsibilities

• Install cable pathway systems (trays, racks, J-hooks, D-rings)
• Terminate, test, label & document horizontal and backbone cables
• Dress and route cables into telecom closets and work areas
• Build out telecom and equipment rooms
• Fire-stop various cable penetrations
• Test, troubleshoot and document test results for cabling
• Know ANSI/TIA/EIA cabling standards and NEC
• Adhere to Environmental, Health & Safety policies
• Report scope changes or issues to contacts
