Job summary

On Trac Communications seeks a Broadband Installation Technician to connect telecommunications services in customers’ homes and offices in Fort Collins, CO. You will test and troubleshoot to ensure TVs, computers, and wireless devices are connected while keeping cables organized.

Punctual, proactive communicator who provides clear explanations of services and maintains safety and quality. This role reports to the Project Manager and offers competitive pay, steady work, and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ year of previous broadband installation experience preferred.
• Strong computer, network, and electronics skills and knowledge; ability to utilize applications on a tablet device.
• Excellent communication skills; ability to clearly and professionally communicate technical information.
• Strong customer service orientation and a positive, solutions-oriented attitude.

Responsibilities

• Install telecommunication services in customers’ homes and offices; test and troubleshoot equipment and connections.
• Provide education to customers on the services installed and answer questions prior to leaving.
• Arrive on time for appointments and communicate with customers about arrival times.
• Utilize test equipment to ensure signal strength and connections.
• Process work orders and ensure all necessary equipment and tools are on site.
• Review work performed to ensure quality and completion.
