Applied Materials, Inc. in Santa Clara, CA is seeking a Process Technician to prepare wafers for experimentation, operate reactors for thin film processes, and use SEM/FIB/TEM for analyses.

You will record process conditions, perform routine maintenance, and drive process improvements to enhance productivity and quality. The role requires a strong background in FIB/SEM/TEM, materials science, and the ability to work in a fast-paced laboratory environment.

Qualifications

• Technical certification or equivalent experience in a materials-related field.
• Hands-on experience as a FIB Technician in semiconductor environment.
• Experience preparing TEM lamella samples using FIB techniques.
• Working knowledge of SEM, FIB, TEM fundamentals.
• Ability to read engineering instructions, layouts, and sample prep requirements.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook and MS Office.
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and work in a lab.

Responsabilités

• Prepare samples for experimentation including cleaning, mounting, and loading FOUPs.
• Prepare TEM lamella samples using FIB techniques.
• Operate SEM, FIB, TEM and metrology tools for analysis and failure investigation.
• Perform cross‑sectional and CD measurements and EDS analysis.
• Maintain data records and ensure safety/compliance in the lab.
