Job summary

Applied Materials is seeking a Process Technician to prepare wafers for experiments, run reactors for thin film processes, and use scanning electron microscopes for analyses and imaging. You will record process conditions, perform routine maintenance, and evaluate wafers and films to drive productivity and quality in our lab operations.

The role involves operating FIB/TEM workflows, coordinating with engineering for wafer evaluations, and supporting lab readiness and throughput across projects

Qualifications

• Prepare samples for Focused Ion Beam (FIB) lamella making and optimize sample prep procedures.
• Operate and check performance of equipment to perform sample prep under limited supervision.
• Understand basic Focused Ion Beam (FIB) principle and related tooling.
• Coordinate instrument repair and maintenance with engineering on wafer evaluations.
• Perform routine maintenance procedures and respond to tool issues promptly.

Responsibilities

• Prepare samples for FIB lamella making and optimize sample prep conditions to pattern instructions.
• Operate FIB for TEM lamella preparation and assess pattern quality and beam interaction.
• Perform FIB software alignment, maintenance, and routine shutdown procedures.
• Coordinate repairs and liaise with engineering for wafer evaluations.
• Assist in lab operation by monitoring wafers in process and maintaining throughput.
