Job summary

Texans Together is seeking a Family Group Decision Making (FGDM) Supervisor to lead the FGDM program across Regions 6a and 6b. You will supervise coordinators, manage referrals, schedules, and documentation while ensuring family voice and cultural integrity guide decisions.

The role requires five years in child welfare, at least three in supervision, and strong leadership, communication, and trauma-informed practices. Travel is frequent.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in child welfare or related field.
• Minimum five years’ experience in the child welfare field (PAL, LPS, Foster Care, Conservatorship, or Family-Based Services).
• At least three years’ supervisory/management experience leading staff.

Responsibilities

• Supervise FGDM coordinators, facilitators, specialists, and staff.
• Manage FGDM operations: referrals, assignments, workloads, conference schedules, after-hours coverage.
• Ensure timely completion of Family Team Meetings and family conferences.
• Prepare families and stakeholders to participate in FGDM with a hopeful, family-centered focus.
• Promote hop-centered, trauma-informed, culturally responsive practices.
• Provide consultation on complex cases, family dynamics, and facilitation barriers.
• Review family plans and program documentation for accuracy and timeliness.
• Maintain procedures, workflows, documentation standards, and accountability.
• Monitor performance data, outcomes, and compliance with policies.
• Prepare program reports, identify trends, and recommend improvements.
• Develop relationships with community providers and resources.
• Collaborate with families, TTG staff, attorneys, courts, and partners.
• Respond to program concerns and escalations professionally.
