Job summary

Rice & Gardner, a subsidiary of Project Control and Raba Kistner, is seeking an experienced Procurement Coordinator to support procurement and installation of FF&E, maintenance and operations equipment for facilities in the Houston area.

Responsibilities include coordinating requisitions, maintaining vendor catalogs, and assisting with project coordination during design, construction, and closeout. Flexibility for irregular hours and some weekend work may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 40 college hours or 4 years relevant experience in school business, governmental accounting, construction management or combination thereof.
• Valid state-issued driver's license and auto insurability requirements.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate FF&E procurement and installation activities for facilities.
• Maintain current vendor list and catalog resources.
• Prepare and finalize requisitions for timely orders of goods and services.
• Identify sources to obtain competitive prices and terms.
• Maintain files on FF&E items ordered.
• Assist with vendor problem reconciliation, including billing disputes and warranty service issues.
• Assist clients in accessing warranty repair services when applicable.
• Work with program representatives to ensure equity.
• Promote positive relationships with schools, departments, vendors, and the community.
• Attendance at work is an essential function.
• Monitor assembly and installation of furniture at facilities, some weekends.
• Assist project managers during design, construction, and project closeout activities.
