Job summary

Rice & Gardner, a Houston-based program and project management firm, is seeking an experienced Procurement Coordinator to join our team in the Houston, TX area. You will assist with procurement and installation of FF&E, maintenance and operations equipment, technology, and other project items for new and remodeled facilities.

Key responsibilities include planning and creating FF&E, maintaining vendor catalogs, finalizing requisitions, sourcing competitive prices, and coordinating installation

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED Certification.
• 40 credited college hours or 4 years of experience in school business, governmental accounting, construction management or combination thereof
• Possess a current valid state issued drivers and meet company's auto insurability requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist with procurement and installation functions of FF&E, maintenance and operations equipment, technology, and other items related to construction of new and remodeled facilities.
• Prepare and finalize requisitions for timely order of goods and services.
• Identify sources to obtain competitive prices and terms.
• Maintain files on FF&E items ordered.
• Create installation directives for contract installation.
• Assist with reconciliation of vendor problems, including billing disputes and warranty service issues.
• Assist clients in accessing warranty repair services when applicable.
• Work closely with program representatives to help ensure equity.
• Promote positive relationships with schools, departments, vendors, and the community.
• Attendance at work is an essential function.
• Monitor assembly and installation of furniture at facilities, some may occur on weekends.
• Other duties as assigned by the supervisor, including assisting project managers during design, construction, and project closeout activities.
