Job summary

Responsibilities include taking histories, performing rounds, writing orders, and assisting with fetal surgery plans; collaborating with physicians and staff; and teaching medical students.

Qualifications

• Current and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Texas.
• Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
• Current national board certification as a Nurse Practitioner (AANP or ANCC).
• Current (DEA) license.
• Ability to work in a multi-physician practice in a complex environment with effective team relationships.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Aptitude to use software for data entry and information retrieval in EMR systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical assessment, examination, and treatment of pregnant women with fetal disorders.
• Obtain patient history and perform assessment via observation, interview, and examination.
• Conduct daily rounds, document progress notes, write orders, and assist with fetal surgery plans.
• Order and interpret laboratory studies; provide discharge planning and patient education.
• Support research initiatives and participate in multidisciplinary conferences.
