Qualifications

• Current and unrestricted NP license in Texas.
• Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
• Current national board certification as NP (AANP or ANCC).
• DEA license in good standing.
• Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to use software for data entry and EMR systems.

Responsibilities

• Obtain patient history and perform assessment via observation, interview, and examination.
• Provide quality care and conduct diagnostic testing per guidelines.
• Participate in quality assurance audits and provide real-time feedback.
• Perform admission histories and physicals.
• Discharge planning, write prescriptions, and educate patients.
• Order and interpret laboratory studies.
• Attend rounds and document progress notes.
• Collaborate with physicians and staff to ensure comprehensive care.
• Navigate patients between inpatient and outpatient care.
• Contribute to education of students and residents.
• Support research initiatives within the Center.
