Qualifications

  • Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to use software for data entry and EMR systems.

Job description

Responsibilities
  • Obtain patient history and perform assessment via observation, interview, and examination.
  • Provide quality care and conduct diagnostic testing in accordance with evidence‑based clinical guidelines.
  • Participate in ongoing quality assurance audits and provide real‑time feedback to improve patient care.
  • Perform all admission history & physicals.
  • Conduct daily hospital rounds, document progress notes, write orders, and assist with implementation of therapeutic fetal surgery plans.
  • Order and interpret laboratory studies.
  • Discharge planning including documentation, writing prescriptions, explaining discharge/post‑operative instructions, and patient education.
  • Willingness to acquire limited ultrasound skills such as the assessment of fetal viability, fetal presentation, biophysical profiles and ultrasound guidance for invasive procedures.
  • Chart review and data collection for the neonatal follow‑up for clinical database.
  • Multi‑disciplinary conference presentation preparation.
  • Work collaboratively with a team of physicians, associate providers, and other stakeholders to provide comprehensive clinical care.
  • Ensure continuous flow of communication with leadership of clinic to enhance quality of healthcare services to patients.
  • Provide patient navigation to provide seamless care coordination between inpatient and outpatient settings.
  • Participate in the education of medical students, OB/GYN residents, and Maternal‑Fetal Medicine fellows.
  • Support and participate in research initiatives within the Center.
  • Other related functions as assigned.
Required Qualifications
  • Current and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Texas.
  • Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
  • Current national board certification as a Nurse Practitioner through an approved certifying organization (e.g., AANP or ANCC).
  • Current (Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) license
  • Requires strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to utilize software for data entry, information retrieval as well as outpatient and inpatient electronic medical records.
  • Aptitude to work in a multi‑physician practice in a complex environment; ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with physicians, staff, and patients.
Preferred Qualifications

Previous experience in women’s health, OBGYN or family medicine preferred.

Salary Range
