Job summary

Spoleto Festival USA, based in Charleston, SC, is seeking a Company Manager in the Producing Department to oversee housing, travel logistics, and year-round operations supporting producers, artists, and staff.

You will hire, train, and supervise seasonal staff, coordinate housing contracts, travel plans, and driver scheduling, and work closely with production teams and partners during festival periods. The role requires long hours during April–June and on-call availability beyond that period.

Qualifications

• Experience in company management, scheduling, or logistics in the performing arts, festivals, large-scale events, arts administration, or related fields.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with attention to detail.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and comfort managing databases or large spreadsheets.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate housing for artists, crew, seasonal staff, and consultants, including home rentals and hotel contracts.
• Manage housing setup, closeout, and check-in/out procedures for all personnel.
• Collect travel plans and support airport transfers, rental vehicles, parking passes, and driver scheduling.
• Hire, train, and supervise seasonal staff, including Festival Drivers and Apprentices.
• Plan and facilitate travel for audition tours and off-season events as needed.
• Maintain and grow relationships with housing partners and assist in sponsorship opportunities for housing and travel.
• Review policies annually to improve production support for artists and crews.
• Contribute to long-range strategy and season planning with housing and logistics insights.
