Jobtailor is seeking a seasoned DEIAB and people-operations professional to lead inclusive programming for a Festival. This role partners with cross-functional teams, external agencies, and venues to implement the Festival Community Agreement and safety and inclusivity initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a role related to DEIAB or people operations with a specific focus on fostering inclusive and respectful environments.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and external agencies to implement inclusive programs.
  • Familiarity with mental health support resources and strategies for addressing triggering content or experiences.
  • Strong project management abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to engage with diverse community members and external partners.
  • Effective problem-solving and conflict resolution skills, with experience handling sensitive issues discreetly and professionally.
  • Preferred knowledge of incident reporting systems, legal requirements for managing workplace injuries, and safety compliance protocols.
  • Preferred experience in training development and facilitation, particularly on topics related to inclusivity, belonging, and a code of conduct.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Manage Festival-specific initiatives promoting inclusivity and belonging among employees, volunteers, artists, and patrons.
  • Support the cross-departmental Community & Belonging team in implementing the Festival Community Agreement and programmatic safety and inclusivity elements.
  • Build and maintain partnerships with outside agencies, including the third-party Ombuds, mental health organizations, and government agencies.
  • Revise equitable review procedures to promote a welcoming, respectful environment.
  • Oversee the internal incident reporting process, including escalation, stakeholder training, and system coordination.
  • Identify content, panels, and events requiring onsite support resources and coordinate with external partners.
  • Partner with Festival Theater and Operations teams to provide pre-Festival training and guidance on belonging policies and procedures.
  • Design and facilitate training content and materials for employees, volunteers, and external partners.
  • Create guides for mental health resources, reporting Community Agreement violations, and requesting support.
  • Manage a Wellness Hub during the Festival with internal teams.
  • Collect, process, and maintain records of incident reports, including workplace, patron, and artist injuries.
  • Collaborate with the Accessibility team on patron accommodation requests and provide onsite theater support as needed.
  • Investigate work-related injuries involving employees and volunteers and coordinate mitigation and follow-up care.
  • Draft and complete a comprehensive wrap report on Festival community and belonging outcomes and recommendations.
  • Assist with Community and Belonging projects and provide general support to HR and cross-departmental teams.
