Job summary

The City of O'Fallon is hiring part-time Festival Aides to support the Recreation Department during festivals and special events. You will help prepare and manage festival grounds, assist with light displays, and provide friendly information to visitors.

• Researching and preparing for festivals and events, including our Celebration of Lights display.

• Providing security for the light display.
• Assuring light displays are in working properly, taking corrective action when necessary.
• Providing information and top notice customer service to patrons.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends and holidays is required.
• Works outdoors on rough, uneven terrain in all weather conditions.

The City of O'Fallon is looking for energetic and dependable team members for the position of Festival Aide. Our Festival Aides enjoy a flexible schedule along with a fun work environment and earn competitive pay with an expected starting rate of pay of $15.25 - $15.85 hourly.

As part of our Recreation Department, this position plays an important role in the preparation, organization and management of festivals and special events hosted by the Tourism and Festivals Department.

As a Festival Aide, your duties and responsibilities will include:

• Assisting in the preparation and set up of festival and event grounds for Celebration of Lights
  
• Researching and preparing for festivals and events, including our Celebration of Lights display
• Installing, maintaining and/or repairing holiday lights
• Painting and installing scenery
• Providing security for the light display.

We're looking for someone who is reliable and willing to contribute ideas that support our festivals and special events team. This person should be comfortable working with electricity and hand/power tools. This position works outdoors on rough, uneven terrain in all weather conditions. Availability to work evenings, weekends and holidays is required.
