Job summary

The Davey Tree Expert Company is seeking a Landscape Spray Technician to perform fertilization and pest management with spray and injection tools across residential and commercial landscapes. You’ll work on-site in Tampa, FL, engaging with clients and delivering high-quality lawn care services.

Ideal candidates love the outdoors and have or are willing to obtain a Florida CPCO license, plus a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Must have love of outdoor work and ability to perform lawn care tasks.
• Valid Florida CPCO license preferred.
• Valid driver’s license preferred.
• Willingness to complete safety and first aid training on hire.

Responsibilities

• Fertilize and manage pests on trees, shrubs and lawns using spray and injection tools.
• Identify and diagnose insects, weeds, fungi and pest-prone areas.
• Educate clients on diagnosis, prescribed pest control, fertilization and related services.
• Monitor lawn quality and communicate progress to clients and supervisors.
• Operate and maintain truck and sprayer equipment with care.

Job Duties

What You’ll Do:

• Cultivate your career and fertilize your future!
• Properly identify and diagnose insects, weeds, fungus conditions, and pest prone areas.
• Communicate with and educate the client regarding the diagnosis and the prescribed pest control, aerification, seeding, and fertilization service with customers.
• Continuously monitor lawn quality and fertilizing methods after application and communicate progress to customers and supervisors.
• Drive, use, maintain and properly operate truck and sprayer equipment.

Qualifications

What We’re Seeking:

• Love of the outdoors
• Preferred: Oregon Pesticide License
• Preferred: background in Horticulture, or Landscaping
• Preferred: Turf, Weed, Tree and shrub ID knowledge
• Ability to complete the Davey first aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire
• Preferred: Valid driver’s license
• Preferred: Florida CPCO license and certificates
