Job summary

The Davey Tree Expert Company is seeking a field technician to perform fertilization and pest management for trees, shrubs and lawns on-site at private, governmental, or business residences. Duties include diagnosing pests, communicating with clients, and operating sprayer equipment. 18+ with horticulture or landscaping experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Cultivate your career by performing fertilization and pest management tasks on trees, shrubs and lawns.
• Identify and diagnose insects, weeds, fungi and pest-prone areas.
• Educate clients on diagnosis and prescribed pest control, aerification, seeding and fertilization services.
• Monitor lawn quality and fertilizing methods; communicate progress to customers and supervisors.

What You’ll Do:

• Cultivate your career and fertilize your future!
• Properly identify and diagnose insects, weeds, fungus conditions, and pest prone areas.
• Communicate with and educate the client regarding the diagnosis and the prescribed pest control, aerification, seeding, and fertilization service with customers.
• Continuously monitor lawn quality and fertilizing methods after application and communicate progress to customers and supervisors.
• Drive, use, maintain and properly operate truck and sprayer equipment.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age to work in the field.
