Job summary

Bloom Fertility in Atlanta is seeking a highly organized Fertility Patient Care Coordinator—Medical Assistant / LPN to join our team. This role blends patient coordination, scheduling, and administrative tasks with back-up clinical support as needed.

You will manage patient flow, coordinate testing and treatments, document in the EMR, and communicate with patients and the clinical team to keep cycles on track.

Qualifications

  • Certified Medical Assistant or Licensed Practical Nurse license required.
  • Minimum 2 years in medical office or clinical setting.
  • Fertility/women's health experience strongly preferred.
  • Phlebotomy experience required.
  • EMR experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as primary contact for patients after physician consultation.
  • Coordinate testing, labs, procedures and appointments.
  • Set up and monitor IUI treatment cycles and related documentation.
  • Maintain patient charts, consents, and treatment records in the EMR.
  • Communicate status and concerns to physicians and clinical team.
  • Assist nursing and clinical staff as needed.

Description

Bloom Fertility is seeking a highly organized, compassionate Fertility Patient Care Coordinator- Medical Assistant / LPN to join our team. This is primarily a patient coordination and administrative role, with clinical responsibilities to provide backup support to our Medical Assistant when needed.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with fertility patients, coordinating multiple steps of treatment, communicating clearly with patients, and staying on top of details and deadlines.
As a key member of our team you will:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for patients following their physician consultation.
  • Provide patients with instructions, consents, education, and next steps.
  • Coordinate diagnostic testing, laboratory work, procedures, and appointments.
  • Set up and coordinate IUI treatment cycles and monitor required testing and documentation.
  • Maintain patient checklists, charts, consents, and treatment records in the EMR.
  • Follow up with patients regarding outstanding labs, records, consents, and appointments.
  • Communicate patient status and concerns to the physician and clinical team.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of fertility medications, prescriptions, and treatment protocols.
  • Answer routine patient questions and eliminate clinical questions to the nurse or physician.
  • Transition patients to the nurse for IVF treatment and nursing management.
  • Provide clinical/MA support as needed, including rooming patients, vital signs, phlebotomy, procedure assistance, specimen handling, and stocking/maintaining clinical areas.
  • Support efficient patient flow and other clinic operations as needed.

Requirements
  • Certified/Registered Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
  • Minimum 2 years of medical office or clinical experience preferred.
  • Fertility, women's health, or reproductive medicine experience strongly preferred.
  • Phlebotomy experience required.
  • EMR experience preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and patient-service skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple patients and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Professional, compassionate, dependable, and able to work independently.
