Job summary

Terra Fertility PLLC in Dedham, MA is seeking a compassionate Financial Counselor to guide patients through the financial aspects of fertility treatment. This 40-hour-per-week, on-site role offers growth opportunities and a comprehensive benefits package.

You will verify coverage, explain deposits, and coordinate with the AR team to ensure accurate billing and refunds when needed. Bilingual abilities are a plus.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience in healthcare finance or billing.
• 1+ year experience in fertility or OBGYN financial coordination preferred.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Proficiency in medical terminology and EMR.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with treatment cost estimates and ensure signed agreements before treatment.
• Explain insurance coverage, deposits, and self-pay options to patients in person, by phone, or online.
• Provide financial clearance and verify deposits and authorizations are in place.
• Process online insurance portals for authorizations and manage billing in the EMR system.
• Educate patients on financing options and self-pay packages.
• Communicate patient financial status to care teams before treatment starts.
