Job summary

Hornblower Group seeks Guest Service Agents to serve on-terminal at multiple water-front locations, selling ferry tickets and assisting passengers with questions and purchases. You will manage queues, promote mobile ticketing, and act as a friendly ambassador for the ferry experience.

Based at Ceiba, Vieques, and Culebra waterfronts, the role requires standing outdoors in all weather. Prior ferry, hospitality, or customer service experience is preferred; training will be provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in ferry, transit, hospitality, or attractions is preferred.
• Strong communication and cash-handling skills are essential.
• Ability to stand for long periods and work outdoors is required.

Responsibilities

• Sell ferry tickets and inform customers about ticket options.
• Handle cash and card sales accurately in high-volume, quick-paced environments.
• Promote the Mobile Ticketing App to passengers.
• Set up and break down the ticketing cash drawer and complete related paperwork.
• Maintain a manageable queue and assist passengers boarding vessels.
• Provide information about ferry service and local neighborhoods.
• Contact managers with delays or passenger issues and coordinate with other locations.
• Make general announcements to waiting passengers.
• Help ensure passengers have the correct tickets and understand their travel directions.
