Phase Biolabs is a deep tech company building biomanufacturing platforms. We use engineered biocatalysts to convert waste and low-value feedstocks into sustainable chemicals and fuels, starting with ethanol.

Phase develops and scales these industrial bioprocesses from lab to pilot and commercialises them with industrial partners through retrofit models. We are looking for a hands-on Technician to support day-to-day laboratory fermentation operations.

Competenze

• Must have demonstrable laboratory experience.
• Able to lift up to 20 kg using safe manual handling techniques.
• Comfortable standing for long periods in a hands-on role.
• Careful, accurate record keeping.
• Reliable and well organized, with routine work approach.
• Stays calm and maintains standards when busy.
• Works well in a team and takes direction.
• Clear communicator.

Mansioni

• Carry out routine checks and upkeep of fermentation and analytics equipment.
• Follow SOPs and carry out routine system checks, such as dilution checks.
• Monitor consumables and stock levels, and raise orders before supplies run low.
• Prepare stock solutions and reagents for experiments.
• Clean, sterilise and maintain labware and equipment.

Formazione

PhD in life sciences/chemistry/engineering

MSc in related field + 1 year industry experience

BSc in related field + 3 years industry experience

A-levels or Level 3 qualification + 5 years industry experience
