Job summary

Awardhomecare is seeking a female Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) to provide in-home care for a male client in New Jersey. The position offers both full-time and part-time hours with overnight shifts from 11 PM to 7 AM or 11 PM to 8 AM, paid at $20 per hour, with own transportation preferred.

The ideal candidate holds an active New Jersey CHHA certification, a valid driver’s license, and at least one year of caregiving experience.

Qualifications

• NJ CHHA certification required.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Minimum 1 year of caregiving experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certifications preferred.
• Ability to follow care plans and maintain a schedule.

Responsibilities

• Assist with ADLs: bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility.
• Provide companionship and emotional support.
• Monitor changes in client condition and report them.
• Assist with medication reminders and administration per care plan.
• Support memory care needs and cognitive challenges.
• Prepare meals and assist with feeding when needed.
• Light housekeeping and maintain a safe home.
• Document care accurately and maintain HIPAA compliance.
• Accompany clients to appointments and errands.

Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) – Female Caregiver Needed (Hourly Position)

Job Type: Full-Time / Part-Time
Pay: $20/hour

We are seeking an experienced, compassionate, and reliable Female Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) to provide quality in-home care for a male client. We need someone who can work Overnights 11p-7a or 11p-8a . The ideal candidate is dedicated to helping individuals maintain their independence, dignity, and quality of life and has their own vehicle.

Requirements

• Current New Jersey CHHA certification (required)
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Minimum 1 year of caregiving experience required
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred
• Ability to work assigned shifts and maintain a consistent schedule

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility assistance
• Provide companionship and emotional support
• Monitor and report changes in the client's condition, behavior, or overall well-being
• Assist with medication reminders and administration according to care plans and agency guidelines
• Support clients with Alzheimer's disease, dementia, memory care needs, and other cognitive challenges
• Prepare meals and assist with feeding when necessary
• Perform light housekeeping duties, including laundry, tidying, and maintaining a safe home environment
• Document care provided accurately using agency documentation systems while maintaining HIPAA compliance
• Accompany clients to appointments, errands, or community activities as needed

Qualifications

• Knowledge of medical terminology and documentation practices
• Experience working with individuals with dementia is a plus
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and follow care plans effectively
• Physical ability to assist with transfers and lift up to 50 pounds when required
