Job summary

Avalon Essential Home Care is seeking compassionate caregivers for a male client requiring specialized care. The position involves hands-on caregiving including peri-care, bowel training, and mobility support.

Shifts run 12 hours with options like 7:00 AM–7:00 PM or 7:00 PM–7:00 AM; schedule is 1–3 days per week. Client has a German Shepherd, so comfort with pets is required. CNA preferred; CPR/First Aid and Hoyer lift experience strongly recommended.

Qualifications

• Experience with peri-care, bowel programs, repositioning, and medication reminders.
• Comfortable working in a home with a dog (German Shepherd).
• Flexible scheduling including weekends and varying shifts.

Responsibilities

• Peri-care and bowel program assistance as needed.
• Repositioning the client every 2 hours.
• Medication reminders and homemaker duties.
• Light housekeeping and meal preparation.

POSITION DETAILS

Client: Male, Quadriplegic

Schedule: 1-3 Days per Week

Shifts Available:

• 7:00 A.M. - 7:00 P.M.
• 7:00 P.M. - 7:00 A.M.

Shift Length: 12 Hours

CARE REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE

Peri-care

Bowel Program/Training PRN

Repositioning Every 2 Hours
