Job summary

EisnerAmper is seeking a Manager - FEMA in our Government Services Practice. The role focuses on FEMA-funded initiatives, regulatory compliance, and managing complex disaster recovery programs for state/local governments.

The candidate will supervise staff, oversee engagement quality, and drive business development while ensuring 2 CFR 200 compliance and timely closeouts of disasters. Hybrid travel to client sites is expected.

Qualifications

5+ years of experience in state and/or local disaster recovery programs administering FEMA funds, including 3+ years in a management or supervisory role.
Bachelor's degree in Public Policy, Public Administration, Public Safety, Emergency Management, Disaster Management, or an approved related field.
Knowledge of FEMA disaster programs, including related statutes, regulations, and policies and processes, and compliance and/or financial management functions.

Responsibilities

Supervise the team and coach staff, completing annual evaluations.
Evaluate client needs and engagement scope, oversee quality control of deliverables.
Ensure FEMA compliance and 2 CFR 200, assess audit readiness and gaps.
Assist with closeout of multiple open disasters.
Support client financial management including time and cost unit operations and cost tracking.
Determine method of program implementation and support strategic growth by tracking disaster recovery trends.
Engage in business development activities such as conferences, thought leadership, and proposals.
Identify recovery gaps and provide recommendations to leverage resources for greater impact.
May require extended hours or travel to other firm offices or client locations.
