Job summary

The Delaware County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office seeks a Felony Prosecutor to assume ownership of complex felony cases from indictment through trial. You will develop cases in coordination with law enforcement, advocate for victims, and navigate post-conviction matters.

You will litigate motions, conduct trials, handle sentencings, and provide guidance as a legal resource to colleagues. This role offers meaningful courtroom experience and professional growth in a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Ohio-licensed attorney with felony prosecution experience.
• Ability to manage caseload and litigate motions and trials.
• Strong knowledge of Ohio criminal law and procedure.
• Excellent research and writing skills, sound judgment and integrity.

Responsibilities

• Advocate in courtroom through all proceedings including pre-trials, negotiations, plea, sentencing and trials.
• Collaborate with victims, witnesses, and law enforcement; prepare them for court.
• Manage own caseload; take ownership of work and litigate complex issues.
• Serve as a legal resource to the Prosecuting Attorney and law enforcement on criminal-law matters.
