Job summary

Responsibilities

• Prepares and presents assigned cases to Grand Jury for indictment.
• Prosecutes felony criminal cases before juries and District Courts, including preparation of instructions and papers.
• Handles all pretrial matters in cases, including arraignments, bail applications, discovery, and negotiations of plea bargains.
• Requests subpoenas for witnesses, records, and evidence; prepares for trials and hearings.
• Performs legal research and writes memoranda for the court on legal issues.
• Reviews docket with court staff and liaises with investigators and witnesses.
