Job summary

UC Irvine Health's Department of Pathology & Laboratory Medicine seeks a Health Profns Educ Spec 2 to coordinate trainee programs. The role ensures onboarding, orientation, interviews, and site-visit support, working with the Program Director and coordinators to complete surveys and reports.

The position emphasizes confidentiality, communication, and detailed administrative work in a fast-paced academic medical setting, with opportunities to engage in trainee education and program operations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Experience with coordinating education or training programs is a plus.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Familiarity with medical education systems and regulatory guidelines is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Manage onboarding process for incoming trainees.
  • Coordinate orientation for incoming trainees and trainee interviews.
  • Provide administrative support for site visits.
  • Attend all GME and Internal Pathology coordinator meetings.
  • Assist Program Director, Assistant Program Director, and Coordinators with surveys and reporting.
  • Coordinate graduation and trainee retreats; handle reimbursements for trainees.
