Job summary

Northrop Grumman Space Systems seeks an NG Fellow 1 – Tracking and Discrimination to lead strategy for sensing, hypersonic tracking, target-state estimation, sensor fusion, and mission-algorithm initiatives across radar and infrared applications.

The Fellow will shape technical direction across multiple programs, mentor senior staff, and interface with senior leaders and customers to advance mission objectives.

Qualifications

• Active U.S. Government Secret clearance or ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance.
• 20 years of experience with a BS or 18 years with an MS/PhD in a relevant STEM field.
• Experience with radar, infrared, electro-optical sensor data processing for mission-critical applications.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic and technical direction for tracking, fusion, and discrimination algorithms across radar and infrared sensing domains.
• Define long-term technical roadmaps for radar, imaging sensors, and multi-sensor data fusion.
• Mentor engineers and engage with IPT leads, chief engineers, and program leadership; communicate trade studies, risks, and mitigations.
