Job summary

Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking an NG Fellow 1 to lead hypersonic autopilot and guidance efforts. The role focuses on strategy, architecture, and embedded implementation across flight dynamics, mission analysis, and realtime software for advanced weapon systems.

The ideal candidate brings deep GNC expertise, model-based systems engineering experience, and the ability to influence senior leaders and program teams to meet mission objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelors, Master’s, and/or PhD in a relevant STEM field with extensive experience.
• Experience in guidance, autopilot, flight-dynamics, or mission-analysis development for hypersonic/ missile systems.
• Systems engineering and verification across design, test, and fielding.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and technical leadership for hypersonic autopilot and guidance.
• Define long-term technical roadmaps for guidance, autopilot, and real-time software.
• Lead trade studies and risk reduction across engineering lifecycle.
• Engage with senior leadership and customers to present concepts and risks.
• Mentor engineers and drive digital engineering practices.
