Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Fellow 1 – Tracking and Discrimination in Chandler, AZ, to lead strategy for radar and sensor exploitation, and to advance real-time tracking and data fusion capabilities. This role reports to the GNC/SW director and requires a strong security clearance.

The ideal candidate will drive campaigns, mentor senior staff, and shape technical direction across missile-defense related programs while ensuring mission success and technical excellence in a highly dynamic

Qualifications

• Bachelors, Masters, and/or PhD in a relevant STEM field.
• Active U.S. Government Secret security clearance at time of application, with the capability to obtain TS/SCI clearance.
• Experience with radar, infrared, electro-optical, or closely related sensor-data processing.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a sector-level technical authority for tracking, hypersonic tracking, target-state estimation, sensor fusion, and discrimination algorithms.
• Define and influence long-term technical roadmaps for radar, infrared, and multi-sensor sensing projects.
• Lead nonlinear and maneuver-aware estimation approaches to maintain high-confidence tracks in dynamic environments.
• Drive technical strategy, risk-reduction plans across the engineering lifecycle.
• Engage with senior leadership and customers to present technical concepts and risks clearly.
