Job summary

Seaboard Foods in Oklahoma seeks a Feed Mill Maintenance Supervisor to oversee maintenance and operation of all feed mill equipment, buildings, and grounds. The role focuses on ensuring non-stop operation, managing the preventative maintenance program, and supervising a maintenance team.

You will learn boiler operation, water treatment procedures, and work with other departments to resolve maintenance issues. A strong emphasis on safety and regulatory compliance is required.

Qualifications

• Learn the flow of all materials and standard operating procedures in all areas of the feed mill.
• Supervise and maintain the Preventative Maintenance Program to ensure machinery, grounds and buildings are in good condition; meet regulatory requirements.
• Supervise Maintenance Department personnel to minimize downtime and costs and prevent accidents.
• Determine needed spare parts and ensure availability for timely repairs.
• Organize, assign, and schedule repair, maintenance and installation of machines and equipment to support production.

The Feed Mill Maintenance Supervisor will advise in the efficient operation and maintenance of all equipment, buildings, grounds, and any other related areas/duties. Ensuring the efficient, non-stop operation of the feed mill complex. This position is a working supervisory position that requires willing dedication and commitment that will guarantee the above statement.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Will learn the flow of all materials, incoming and out-going, and the standard operating procedures of all areas of the feed mill. Must be able to learn the computer controls for batching, pelleting, and the sprayed fat at the die systems.
• Directly responsible for supervision and maintaining the Preventative Maintenance Program that will assure machinery, ground and buildings are kept in workmanlike condition, meeting or exceeding regulatory compliance, e.g., FDA, GMP’s, OSHA, environmental et al.
• Supervises Maintenance Department personnel in day-to-day operation to ensure minimal downtime, costs, and zero accidents.
• Is able to determine the needed spare parts and keep on hand (or be able to obtain in a timely manner), imagining a worst case scenario, such as parts as would be needed for repairs to ALL equipment.
• Organizes, works on and assigns work priorities and scheduling repair, maintenance, and installation of machines, tools and equipment in support of production operations.
• Will be completely responsible for maintaining a natural gas fired boiler, and all water treatment procedures and chemicals needed to be able to maintain and protect equipment. This will require learning operating controls, repair procedures, resetting alarms, and training of maintenance personnel. Per shift records of boiler water treatment and test readings must be logged and filled for future reference.
• Participates in hiring and developing well skilled Maintenance Associates.
• Collaborates with other departments in resolving maintenance related issues, and has a collaborative relationship with production, delivery, and safety.

Required:
