Job summary

Seaboard Foods in Perryton, TX is seeking a Maintenance Team Member to help maintain and repair plant facilities to keep operations running smoothly.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance of feed and water systems, ventilation, and welding; reading work orders and using hand tools, power tools, and testing devices.

On-call availability for emergencies is required; a two-year technical degree or equivalent experience is preferred, plus a valid driver's license and DOT medical card.

Qualifications

• Two-year technical degree or greater is preferred or equivalent experience.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and work orders; write simple correspondence.
• Ability to apply mathematical concepts to practical situations.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and ability to pass DOT physical.

• Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot, repair, install, and inspect automated feed systems, water systems, recycle systems, cool cells, ventilation, controllers, and penning for animal production facilities sites to ensure operations run efficiently and effectively.
• Use tools ranging from common hand and power tools, such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches, to precision measuring instruments and electrical and electronic testing devices.
• Follow work orders and specifications to determine machines and equipment require replacement, repair or maintenance.
• Welding of buildings equipment including load out chutes, and fabrications of some penning or gating.
• Must be on call available for emergency situations.
