Jvis USA, LLC is seeking a hands-on Resin Materials / Feed Room Supervisor in Michigan to oversee Feed Room employees and ensure timely resin availability for the injection molding operation. The ideal candidate has manufacturing experience, some supervisory background, and comfort with CMS ERP systems and basic computer skills. Training will be provided.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Manufacturing experience required.
  • Injection molding, plastics, resin, or material handling experience preferred.
  • Previous lead or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Basic computer skills and ERP/inventory system familiarity.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and direct Feed Room employees.
  • Ensure production has correct resin and materials.
  • Monitor resin inventory and upcoming production needs.
  • Manage resin releases and inventory in CMS ERP system.
  • Coordinate resin and silo deliveries with suppliers.
  • Maintain FIFO and material lot traceability.
  • Oversee scrap grinding and regrind activities.
  • Assist with new resin trials and supplier discussions.
  • Collaborate with Production, Quality, Purchasing and Finance.

Job description

Summary We are looking for a hands-on Resin Materials / Feed Room Supervisor to support our injection molding operation. This position oversees Feed Room employees and helps make sure production has the correct resin and materials available when needed. The role also includes resin releases, inventory, deliveries, scrap/regrind, and basic supplier communication.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.

  • Supervise and direct Feed Room employees.
  • Make sure production machines have the correct resin and materials.
  • Monitor resin inventory and upcoming production needs.
  • Use our CMS ERP system to manage resin releases and inventory.
  • Order and release resin from suppliers as needed.
  • Coordinate resin and silo deliveries.
  • Communicate with suppliers regarding deliveries, shortages, and material issues.
  • Keep resin and materials organized and properly identified.
  • Maintain FIFO and material lot traceability.
  • Oversee scrap grinding and regrind activities.
  • Help maximize the reuse of approved regrind to reduce material costs.
  • Monitor Feed Room equipment, including dryers and material feeders.
  • Help with physical inventory and resolve inventory differences.
  • Assist with new resin trials and locating alternative suppliers when needed.
  • Work closely with Production, Quality, Purchasing, and Finance.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.

Follows all safety, housekeeping (5S) and company policies and procedures.

Coordinates and maintains all job responsibilities in a continuous and flexible manner and performs other related duties and job assignments as required.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High School Diploma or GED.Manufacturing experience required. Injection molding, plastics, resin, or material handling experience preferred. Previous lead or supervisory experience preferred. Basic computer skills. Experience with an ERP or inventory system is helpful. CMS experience is a plus, but not required. Training will be provided. Good communication and organizational skills. Ability to work both on the plant floor and on a computer. Ability to handle changing production priorities and solve day-to-day problems.
