Job summary

Clean Harbors Kimball, NE is seeking a Feed Prep Operation Technician to perform hands-on tasks such as drum pumping, drum dumping, tank farm operations, and forklift/pallet jack handling. This position is 95% outside in adverse weather with rotating 6a-6p / 6p-6a, 4 12-hour shifts weekly.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures Health and Safety is the number one goal by following policies and working safely at all times.
  • Performs basic operations including drum movement, drum opening, and proper inventory warehousing.
  • Operates a forklift when necessary and completes daily safety checks prior to operating.
  • Completes and submits paperwork for waste tracking movements and uses scanning app for dumping and pumping.

Job description

We Build with Passion- Clean Harbors Kimball, NE Incineration units are seeking a Feed Prep Operation Technician who performs hands on operations such as drum pumping, drum dumping, tank farm operations and offloading Vans with forklift and pallet jack operation. This job is 95% outside work in adverse weather conditions. Wage $26.50 per hour. The shift is rotating Days 6a-6p/Nights 6p-6a 4- 12 hour shifts weekly.

Responsibilities
  • Ensures Health and Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and acting in a safe manner at all times
  • Performs basic operations including, but not limited to, drum movement, drum opening, and proper inventory warehousing.
  • Operates a forklift when necessary, Responsible for performing and documenting daily safety check prior to operating.
  • Completes and submits all associated paperwork as required for waste tracking movements,
  • Able to use scanning application for dumping and pumping.
  • Ensures that work meets all applicable Health and Safety Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Reviews all applicable SOP's and satisfactorily completes quizzes.
  • Ensures, understands and has ownership for area specific permit required compliance standards.
  • Meets or exceeds production goals
  • Responsible for maintaining a clean work environment
Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent - required

  • Willing to train on forklift operation
  • Capable of reaching out, over and down exerting a force
  • Climb up and down vertical ladders
  • Good hand/eye coordination
  • 10 pushups, deep knee squats and sit-ups (to determine if fit)
  • 20/20 eyesight corrected or uncorrected - depth perception is critical
  • Lifting up to 50 lbs. from the ground to your waste
  • DOT/OSHA Training
  • Ability to work in team environment
  • Proficiency in Windows based applications
  • Ability to perform multiple task
  • Must be willing to work nights, weekend
  • Ability to work in adverse weather
  • Respirator fit test upon hire- clean shaven face required (mustache okay!)
  • Ability to successfully complete a background check, drug screen and physical
  • Valid Driver's License
