Job summary

Central United Cooperative in Cologne, MN seeks a supervisor for our feed mill location to lead the team and ensure safe, compliant, and efficient feed services for patrons. You will oversee maintenance, training, and adherence to safety programs while communicating with stakeholders and vendors.

You will guide goal setting, enforce policies, and manage daily operations, inventory, and quality control to support cooperative members and enhance service delivery.

Qualifications

• Post secondary education at the college or vocational level; experience may substitute education.
• Management or animal nutrition training is necessary.
• Feed operations experience.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitors inventory levels and purchases for the Cologne location regarding feed.
• Maintains required logs, daily truck inspection and other required documentation.
• Produces quality feed products in compliance with all laws and feed product regulations.
• Provides service to feed customers and builds strong customer relations.
• Resolves customer issues with feed products and service delivery quickly and fairly per policy.
• Enforces company credit policy.
• Oversees facility and grounds maintenance at the Cologne location.
• Recommends fixed asset purchases to department management.
• Develops long and short-term goals with staff and implements programs to achieve them.
• Establishes performance standards, trains staff, and holds them accountable.
• Resolves personnel conflicts, informs supervisor of issues needing action.
• Participates in meetings and trainings; performs administrative functions.
• Other duties and projects as assigned.
