The role requires 3+ years in feed mill operations, strong leadership and safety culture, and familiarity with FDA/USDA/FSMA standards. First-shift in the United States.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor’s degree in agriculture, animal science, feed manufacturing, or related field preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in feed mill operations or similar production environment.
• Prior supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of feed formulation, processing, and quality control.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements for animal feed production.
• Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills for feed mill equipment.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and inventory management systems.

Responsibilities

• Production Management: Supervise and coordinate feed mill operations to ensure efficient feed production.
• Monitor ingredient mixing, grinding, and pelletizing processes to maintain feed quality standards.
• Ensure proper storage, handling, and inventory management of raw materials and finished feed.
• Team Leadership: Manage and train feed mill operators and production staff; assign daily tasks and monitor performance.
• Promote a culture of safety, efficiency, and teamwork within the feed mill.
• Quality Control & Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines (FDA, USDA, FSMA) and feed safety protocols; oversee sampling and testing.
• Maintenance & Equipment Oversight: Work with maintenance to ensure proper functioning of machinery; schedule routine maintenance and troubleshoot issues; identify upgrades.
• Inventory & Logistics Management: Monitor inventory levels; coordinate feed deliveries with live production teams; optimize storage and handling to reduce waste.
• Safety & Environmental Compliance: Ensure safety procedures, train staff, and meet environmental regulations relevant to feed production.
• Reporting & Continuous Improvement: Maintain production data records; analyze metrics and implement efficiency improvements.
