Job summary

Jobtailor in the United States seeks an entry-level Operations trainee to learn all feed manufacturing department areas. You will train under supervision and progress to certification in receiving, batching, and load-out processes.

You will develop teamwork, communication, and report-writing skills while maintaining safety and environmental standards. A 4x12 shift pattern, physical lifting, and a valid forklift license are expected components of the role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Feed Manufacturing, Nutritional Sciences, or related field, or current student with anticipated graduation.
• Organizational, verbal and written communication skills required.
• Able to work as a team player in a fast-paced environment.
• Computer skills required, valid driver's license and acceptable MVR.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Learn, demonstrate capability/knowledge, and become certified in all feed manufacturing department areas.
• Gain understanding of and implement company systems such as receiving, batching, and load out.
• Perform and master all hourly jobs under supervision and become certified after demonstrating competence.
• Develop rapport with personnel and management.
• Develop employee management skills and leadership experience.
• Prepare required reports on experiences and share improvement opportunities.
• Follow environmental laws and report issues.
• Understand the emergency notification process at the work site.
