Job summary

Jobtailor in the United States seeks an entry-level Operations trainee to learn all feed manufacturing department areas. You will train under supervision and progress to certification in receiving, batching, and load-out processes.

Qualifications

• Gain understanding of and ability to implement company systems such as receiving, batching, and load out.
• Perform and master all hourly jobs under supervision and become certified after demonstrating competence.
• Develop rapport and relationships with personnel and management.
• Develop employee management skills and gain experience in leadership processes and challenges.
• Develop and prepare required reports on experiences and share opportunities for improvement.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as defined by management.
• Follow all environmental laws and procedures; report environmental issues immediately to a supervisor.
• Read and understand the company emergency notification process and review the policy at the work site.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university in Feed Manufacturing, Nutritional Sciences, or related field, or currently enrolled college student with anticipated graduation by end of current semester, or equivalent combination of education and experience, required.

• Ability to work a typical shift schedule starting at 5am and working 4 x 12-hour shifts/week; night shift assignments and weekends may be required.
• Must maintain an active license to operate forklift, certified weigh master and grading grain.
