Job summary

Smithfield Foods, Inc. is seeking a Feed Mill Maintenance Technician to oversee maintenance and repairs of mill machinery, ensure accurate records, and follow SOPs.

You will develop preventive maintenance programs and collaborate with the maintenance team to minimize downtime. The role requires a high school diploma with industrial maintenance experience, ability to troubleshoot electrical and pneumatic systems, and strong teamwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and 1 year of industrial maintenance experience.
• Ability to troubleshoot, repair and assemble feed mill equipment.
• Experience with electrical issues including VFDs, 110V circuits, and 3-phase.
• Ability to read and speak English.
• Knowledge of pneumatic systems and liquid systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance and repairs of feed mill machinery and equipment (conveyors, boilers, mills, VFD drives).
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and schedules.
• Follow SOPs for maintenance tasks, replacements, and installations.
• Develop cost-effective preventative maintenance programs.
• Promote safety awareness and housekeeping across the site.
• Monitor equipment and maintain environmental compliance procedures.
• Ensure critical parts inventory aligns with usage and needs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
