Job summary

Pilgrim’s is seeking a Feed Mill Maintenance Mechanic / Unloader for the 1st shift. The role involves preventive maintenance, repairing and installing equipment, and detecting mechanical and electrical issues.

You will keep written records of actions taken, replacements, and compliance with safety policies. Responsibilities include repairing mill equipment, lubrication, preventive maintenance, and handling emergencies.

Qualifications

• Two years of maintenance experience in feed mill or related field.
• Ability to lift 60 pounds, climb ladders, and operate a pallet jack (2000 pounds).
• Willingness to work first shift and follow safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Repair mechanical malfunctions in the feed mill
• Detect potential electrical or mechanical problems
• Check that equipment is functioning properly
• Prepare written actions taken to correct equipment problems
• Respond to mechanical or electrical breakdowns and handle emergency situations
• Lubricate equipment
• Perform preventive maintenance according to posted schedule
• Complete appropriate paperwork and reports
• Operate a forklift
• Perform other duties as assigned
